Drug suspect slain in Nueva Ecija police operation
SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija –– A 45-year-old man was killed in a Monday (May 18) drug bust when he allegedly fired at undercover policemen in Barangay Papaya here.
Jimmy Lising allegedly drew out a caliber .38 revolver and shot at a policeman on the chest at 3:15 p.m., prompting the other police officers to retaliate, according to Police Major Roderick Corpuz, San Antonio police chief.
The undercover policeman was wearing a bullet-proof vest and survived the attack.
Lising had P2,000-worth of shabu (crystal meth), and was included in the municipal police’s drug watchlist, according to Corpuz.
