17 policemen among new COVID-19 cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police on Saturday reported that it had recorded 17 new cases of coronavirus infection among police personnel, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients in the police force to 231.

Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, PNP spokesperson, said the 17 police officers found positive for the virus were all assigned in Metro Manila. The number of fatalities among PNP personnel remained at four, Banac said.
