Cops file raps vs woman who tried to enter Caloocan brgy under total lockdown
MANILA, Philippines — Police officers on Friday filed multiple criminal complaints against a 27-year-old woman who tried to enter Barangay 156 in Caloocan City, which was placed in total quarantine lockdown for the coronavirus disease.
A report from Caloocan City police station identified the suspect as Mickaela Manzol, a resident of Barangay 157 in Bagong Barrio.
Based on another spot report, Caloocan police officers who were enforcing the lockdown at Barangay 156 spotted Manzol, who was not wearing a face mask trying to enter Barangay 156 along the Service Road corner Ramelon Street on Thursday at 12:05 p.m. The police officers informed Manzol about the lockdown but she insisted on entering the area.
According to the police, Manzol even cursed at them, saying “Mga G*** pala kayo! Pinagtutulungan niyo ako porke babae ako!” (You are all stupid! You are ganging up on me just because I am a woman.)
This prompted the officers to immediately arrest Manzol, who was then brought to the New Caloocan City Hall where she was issued an Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR) for violation of a Caloocan City ordinance and for not wearing a face mask in public.
