COVID-19 test center in Angeles City hotel is illegal, says DOH
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– A Drive-Thru Test Center for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which is being operated at a hotel compound in Angeles City, has no license from the agency nor the city government and is therefore illegal, the Department of Health said on Friday (May 15).
The hotel has been closed but a poster was put up there, announcing the availability of the test center at the driveway. The center charges P6,000 for a test.
But Dr. Lailani Mangulabnan, local health support division of the DOH in Central Luzon, said the center did not secure a DOH accreditation or permits for the “remote collection” of samples.
