24 more cops found infected with coronavirus; PNP tally hits 164
MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-four more police personnel tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease, COVID-19, raising the total count of COVID-19 in Philippine National Police (PNP) to 164.
PNP Health Service records also showed Tuesday that three more police officers survived the respiratory ailment. This brings the total number of recovered police personnel to 52.

Meanwhile, the number of PNP deaths due to the coronavirus disease stood at four.
The number of suspected carriers of COVID-19 in the PNP rose to 984. Of the number, 595 are probable cases which means they have COVID-19 symptoms with pending the release of test results, and 389 suspects, which means they have yet to be tested.
The PNP Health Service encouraged all police personnel who would show symptoms of COVID-19 to contact PNP health authorities for immediate treatment and contact tracing.
