DSWD: To date, 140 LGUs submitted liquidation for cash aid’s first tranche
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 140 local government units (LGUs) have submitted their liquidation reports for the first tranche of the national government’s social amelioration program under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
DSWD spokesperson Aileen Dumlao told reporters in a text message Tuesday that this update was as of 8 p.m. Monday.
Dumlao also said DSWD is still awaiting instructions from the Office of the President regarding the second distribution of the subsidy under the social amelioration program
“[For the] meantime, all LGUs that have completed their payouts are encouraged to submit their liquidation reports so DSWD can start conducting post-payout validation,” she added.
She said DSWD will conduct validation or eligibility check and deduplication within 15 days upon receipt of the liquidation report and encoded list of beneficiaries.
“This is necessary to ensure that we have a clean list for the 2nd tranche,” said Dumlao.
