The 2-month-old baby boy is from Barangay Mabuhay in the rural district of Paquibato, the second case from there.
Health officials said the patient, tagged as DR-159, started exhibiting symptoms on April 29. Local health workers are still investigating when and how the baby contracted the virus.
There has been a growing number of children infected with COVID-19 in the city.
Last Tuesday, the DOH released a bulletin confirming that a 4-month-old baby girl from Bunawan District tested positive for COVID-19.
