Bicol records zero confirmed COVID-19 cases for two days
LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — For two consecutive days, Bicol reported no new case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Monday.
According to the Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol, the total number of cases in the region still stood at 46 while active cases remained at 12 after no new recoveries were also recorded.
Three men and one woman have so far died in the region due to coronavirus-related complications.
Also on Monday, the DOH agreed on the recommendations made by Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital’s (BRTTH) to limit its admissions to emergency cases, critical conditions, and cases that need tertiary care after seven of its health workers contracted coronavirus, prompting the decontamination of the area.
According to BRTTH, more than 100 of its health workers are now undergoing quarantine.
