Did You Know: CHR was created on May 5, 1987

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) was created through Executive Order No. 163 that was signed on May 5, 1987.

The commission is mandated to investigate violations of human rights, including civil and political rights, against marginalized and vulnerable sectors of society. T

he CHR holds office at the SAAC Building on the University of the Philippines complex in Diliman, Quezon City.
