CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Four drug suspects were killed after reportedly engaging policemen in a shootout during separate buy-bust operations over the weekend even as the province remains under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Police identified the slain suspects as Reynaldo Castelo, Gwendel John Samaniego, Resty Rayo, and one alias Ante.

Castelo was killed after resisting arrest and firing shots at responding police around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday at Barangay Capihan in San Rafael town.

An hour earlier, Samaniego was also gunned down in an exchange of gunfire with police in the City of San Jose del Monte.

On Friday, Rayo and Anten reportedly shot policemen after being caught selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent and were killed around 12:10 a.m. at Barangay Minuyan Proper, also in City of San Jose del Monte.

Recovered from the suspects were two .38-caliber revolvers, a shot gun, sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) and a Honda motorcycle.
