LUCENA CITY –– At least three more coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients were recorded in Quezon province on Thursday, bringing the total number of listed virus carriers to 66.
In its noon bulletin, the Quezon Provincial Information Office (QPIO), citing the latest record from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), reported the spike of the total number of validated cases in the province to 66 from Wednesday’s list of 63.
The three latest cases were traced to Lucena City with two, and another one to Calauag town.
With the latest report, Lucena City, the capital of Quezon province, has recorded a total of 27 COVID-19 patients. However, three of these patients have recovered.
Calauag has eight patients with one fatality.
The QPIO report also showed that the province still has one “probable” COVID-19 patient and 323 suspected virus carriers.
With the reported recoveries, discharge of eight patients, and the death of seven others, the number of active COVID-19 carriers in the province was down to 51.
The other 26 towns in the province remain COVID-19-free.
