MANILA, Philippines — Supermarket and bank employees will be among the frontliners to be given priority in Caloocan City’s mass testing program for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a letter to bank and supermarket owners earlier this week, the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office offered rapid and swab tests for their employees to “effect timely detection of those who are infected and to prevent them from further spreading the same.”
According to Mayor Oca Malapitan, local government officials will go to banks and supermarkets to conduct the tests although these can also be done at Caloocan City Medical Center South in Poblacion or Caloocan City Medical Center North in Camarin.
