LOOK: Ateneo de Davao lends iPad units to scholars for online classes

MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo de Davao University is lending Apple iPad units to its student-scholars to help them have access to online classes.

Photos of the iPad units were shared on Facebook on April 23 by Gian Carlo Tancontian of the university’s Institutional Communications and Promotions office, which handles the inventory of the devices.

According to Tancontian, 10 iPad units were already delivered to university scholars last week.

“We hope to deliver the remaining 145 iPads with pencils within the week,” he said.

Summer classes for higher education at the university started on April 20.

Aside from iPad units, the university is also providing home WiFi devices to its students to help them attend classes online.

The online classes at the university come after community quarantine was enforced in several areas in the country due to the crisis brought by the coronavirus disease pandemic.
