MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) Bicol regional office on Monday reported the region’s fourth coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) casualty.
Ernie Vera, Department of Health Bicol regional director said that the patient, a 64-year old woman, identified as patient #30 died Monday morning due to COVID-19.
She’s the third fatality from Albay.
A resident of Tabaco City, she arrived from Quezon City on March 11, 2020.
She first experienced symptoms on April 15, 2020, and was admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on April 20, 2020.
She tested positive of COVID-19 two days later.
DOH CHD – Bicol extended its condolences to the family and friends of Patient#30.
To date, there are 35 confirmed cases of the respiratory disease in the Bicol region.
Nationwide, there are 7,597 COVID-19 cases. Eight hundred twenty six patients have recovered while 501 have died.
