LOOK: Prince Louis in playful portraits as he turns 2
Prince William and Kate Middleton have released portraits of their youngest child, Prince Louis, as he turns 2 today, April 23.
Pictures of Louis in a checkered blue polo and hands filled with paint were shared on the royal couple’s official social media pages. Among the pictures was his rainbow-colored handprint on a piece of paper.
The photos were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge this April.

Kate has traditionally taken pictures of her own three children. This time, however, more candid pictures of Louis were not spared, including one of him after he rubbed the paint on his face.

Louis is fifth in line to the throne of the British monarchy. His older siblings are George, 6, and Charlotte, 4, who have been attending the same school together. /ra
