3 nabbed for illegal drugs, quarantine violation in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — Three persons were arrested for illegal drugs and for violation of the enhanced community quarantine in Albay and Camarines Sur, police said on Tuesday.

In Albay, Captain Dexter Panganiban, information officer of the Albay Provincial Police, said Michael Nacor, 41, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Libod in Camalig town at around 5 p.m.

He was listed as a drug personality in the said town. Recovered was a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).

In Camarines Sur, Jeric San Juan, 26, and Rudel Bal Jr., 32, were arrested in Barangay Balatas in Naga City at around 6:50 p.m.

Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of Naga City Police, said San Juan and Bal were seen loitering. When a police officer asked for their quarantine passes, the two ran. They were later arrested.

Seized from San Juan was a sachet of suspected shabu, police said.
