MANILA, Philippines — Vendors, senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Taguig City will get P4,000 worth of financial assistance from the city government as the enhanced community quarantine continues to take effect.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Taguig City Public Information Office said 68,000 senior citizens and 12,000 PWDs will be receiving the cash aid.
Also, 1,000 fish vendors, fishermen, and farmers and 1,800 other vendors will also get the same cash incentive.
Previously, the Taguig City government distributed P5,000 in cash subsidy to 25,000 scholars in the city while P4,000 cash aid was given each to the 15,000 members of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA), Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) and Pedicab Operators and Drivers Association (PODA).
The latest tally from the Department of Health’s tracker showed that Taguig City has 186 confirmed COVID-19 cases with five deaths and 12 recovered patients.
