Cagayan cops arrest 1, seize products in alcohol price gouging case
TUGUEGARAO CITY-A pharmacy cashier was arrested on Monday (April 13) for alleged price gouging on alcohol, according to police.
Roxanne Tiwag, 30, sold a gallon of alcohol for P750, which was above the prescribed selling price of P520 set by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), said Brig. Gen. Angelito Casimiro, Cagayan Valley police chief.
The police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, members and agents of the DTI seized a gallon of HLAB 70 percent alcohol, 79 boxes each containing 4-liter bottles of alcohol and three gallons of HLAP 70 percent alcohol.
