Earlier, Escudero asked mayors of the province to identify government facilities that may be temporarily converted into isolation areas for COVID-19 patients.
Sorsogon was placed under a state of calamity due to “localized transmission” of the virus.
The Philippines has so far recorded 4,932 cases of COVID-19 with 315 fatalities.
