MANILA, Philippines – At least 854 barangay health workers providing assistance to the public during the enhanced community quarantine will get a salary increase after they were promoted from volunteers to job order personnel effective on April 1 by the Taguig City government.

In a statement sent to reporters, Jeanette Clemente, Taguig’s Human Resource Management Office head, said that those who had been with the city government for up to three years would now get P7,900 instead of P3,000.

Those serving for over three up to six years would get P8,500 instead of just P4,000. Those working for more than six years would be paid P9,700, up from P5,000. They will also get a yearly P15,000 performance incentive.
