Another Metro Manila police officer has recovered from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing to four the number of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) personnel who have gotten better.
The policeman, identified only as NCRPO Patient no. 3, was declared well after he tested negative twice for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the contagious disease.
He was confined at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Muntinlupa City for more than two weeks before his discharge on Thursday.
“We celebrate with the family, friends and loved ones of our comrade patient #3 for his recovery,” NCRPO chief Police Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas said in a statement.
Despite being declared COVID-19-free, the policeman would be subjected to health security protocols.
He will remain in quarantine for 14 days at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, while continuously taking his medication. —DEXTER CABALZA INQ
