FICCI, Indian community donate 150,000 face masks to combat COVID-19


MANILA, Philippines — The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Indian community donated 150,000 face masks worth some P12 million to the national government, the National Task Force (NTF) against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) said Friday.

“The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Indian community in the Philippines donated more than Php 12-million worth of face masks to the Philippine government for distribution to hospitals throughout the country,” the NTF said.

“The donations included 75, 000 pieces of KN95 face masks, and 75, 000 pieces of N88 face masks,” it added.

Indian ambassador to the Philippines Jaidee Mazumdar and chairman of FICCI Mike Advani led the turnover of the face masks to the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), NTF said.
