2 of Corona’s defense lawyers quit
MANILA, Philippines — Two of Chief Justice Renato Corona’s lawyers for his impeachment trial have quit, a member of Corona’s legal team confirmed Tuesday.

Quoting former Ateneo Law School Dean Eduardo Delos Angeles, the report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM named the two as lawyer Ernesto Francisco Jr. and former Court of Appeals Justice Hector Hofilena.
The reason why Francisco and Hofilena left isn’t clear, the report said.

Delos Angeles is expected to make a statement in a press conference at the Supreme Court later on Tuesday, it said.
