According to the final results of the 2016 Annual Survey of the Philippine Business and Industry recently released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, there were 191,817 employees in the transportation and storage sector.
The top industries in terms of total employment were interurban bus line operations (10 percent), freight forwarding services (9.8 percent) and freight truck operation (9.5 percent).
