Tarlac docs use app to track medical condition of PUIs, PUMs

TARLAC CITY –– Tarlac doctors have been using an app to track the progress of symptoms displayed by patients under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs) for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The COVID Risk Assessment Monitoring And Management System (CRAMMS) will collate information about possible infections, which would be provided by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) and Rural Health Units, to give medical workers ample time to prepare should anyone of the PUIs or PUMs turn out to have contracted the virus, said Tarlac Governor Susan Yap.

The CRAMMS application, which was developed by the government in partnership with the Wireless Access for Health, can be accessed by village health workers, who began using the system last week.

With the extension of the Luzon lockdown, many towns in Tarlac province have also started setting up their quarantine sites.

The municipalities of Moncada, Mayantoc, Camiling, Paniqui, and Anao transformed schools into quarantine facilities.

The Drug Rehabilitation Center in Pura town, the Cultural Center in San Manuel town, and the Kensington Inn in Sta. Ignacia town, have also been outfitted to serve as isolation sites for infected patients.
