NBI nabs online seller of face masks for overpricing

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol –– Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bohol arrested on Tuesday morning an online seller for allegedly selling overpriced face mask in this city.

Agent Levi Royeras identified the suspect as Claire Marie Amper Josol, 29, a resident of Barangay Liboron in Calape town.

Royeras said the NBI operatives launched an entrapment operation and arrested the suspect outside a mall in Tagbilaran.

He said the suspect sold an N95 facemask for P250 to an agent.

The price ceiling for N95 is P105 apiece.

The suspect will be charged for violating the Price Act and the Consumer Act of the Philippines.

NBI-Bohol reminded sellers not to take advantage of the pandemic situation.
