COVID-19 cases in Valenzuela now 35

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Valenzuela City said that as of Tuesday afternoon, there are now 35 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the area.

The new patients, a 30-year-old male, and a 38-year-old female have been isolated since they have been previously exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 patient.

“Our Valenzuela City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) is monitoring all the cases and conducting contact tracing,” the local government said.

Earlier, the Valenzuela City LGU identified a 42-year-old male as the 33rd COVID-19 patient of the city.

As of Tuesday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported that there are now 3,746 cases of the viral disease in the country.

Of the total number of COVID-19 cases, 84 people managed to recover, while 177 died of respiratory illness.
