Pateros puts fire station under quarantine

/ 05:20 AM April 05, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The municipal government of Pateros placed its fire station on quarantine after some firemen were exposed to a patient currently under investigation, according to Mayor Miguel Ponce III.

The town’s fire chief, Insp. Ramel Borja, said 25 firemen were placed on home quarantine while the fire station was readied for disinfection after a patient they were ferrying to hospital did not tell them he was a patient under investigation.

Ponce said the town’s other fire station would remain open for emergencies.
