COVID-19 cases in QC reaches 113; death toll at 19

MANILA, Philippines — Two more deaths related to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Quezon City as its number of cases went up to 113.

This led to the increase of death toll to 19, the Quezon City government said Sunday on its Facebook page.

Umabot sa 113 ang naitalang positibong kaso ng #COVID19PH sa Quezon City. Siyam na ang gumaling, habang 19 ang pumanaw.

Nine new cases, meanwhile, were recorded in barangays Masambong, Sto. Cristo, Batasan Hills, Libis, Matandang Balara, Kristong Hari, Sikatuna Village and Pasong Tamo.

No new recorded recoveries in the city, thus the number remained at nine.

The city government assured disinfection of streets and highways is continuously being done.

As of Saturday, the Department of Health (DOH) said the number of COVID-19 cases in the country have swelled to 1,075 as more testing is being conducted.

Of the number, 68 have died while total recoveries are at 35.
