Security agency told to sanction guard caught jogging on MRT-3 train tracks

MANILA, Philippines — The management of Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) on Thursday ordered a security agency to impose sanctions against a security guard caught jogging on train tracks.

This came after the train management found in its initial probe that Kaizen Security Agency’s security guard assigned at MRT-3 Ortigas Station was jogging on train tracks as shown in a viral video.

“Allow us to note that this action is prohibited and will not be tolerated. Thus, the MRT-3 Management immediately directed Kaizen to apply the necessary sanctions against the guard involved,” read the statement.

“Further, with this incident, we reiterated to all our personnel the need to be cautious in their actions and to religiously follow all rules and regulations enforced by the management to avoid this kind of scenario,” it added.

The MRT-3 was shuttered in compliance with the suspension of mass transport services during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
