Deceased Vizcaya resident was infected with COVID-19

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya –– A 65-year-old man who died on March 19 in Solano town was confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), a medical specialist said on Thursday (March 26).

Dr. Napoleon Obana, chief of the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center, said the man displayed symptoms of the virus and was isolated on March 18. His test results were transmitted here on March 25.

The man had no travel history, but he was visited by relatives from abroad, Obana said.
