DAR suspends hearings on agrarian reform cases

/ 03:35 AM March 23, 2020

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has ordered the suspension of all agrarian case proceedings, amid the enhanced community quarantine imposed on Luzon due to the coronavirus disease. Agrarian Reform Secretary John Castriciones said all hearings, inspections and meetings of cases involving the agrarian law implementation and the adjudication of tenurial and other disputes were also temporarily suspended until April 13. The suspension of case proceedings, which were covered in two DAR memorandum circulars, will apply in Luzon, as well as in other areas outside the island with health emergency measures. —Jhesset O.
