Body of man with stab wounds found inside sack in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Police officers retrieved a body of a man bearing stab wounds stuffed inside a blue rice sack in Tondo, Manila on Friday night.

A report from Moriones police station on Saturday showed that a port worker was walking along North Harbor in Barangay 20 Zone 2 District 1 when he noticed a floating blue sack near the area at around 5 p.m.

He reported the incident to barangay officials and police officers, who then inspected the sack which contained the body of a male, who sustained multiple stab wounds in his back.

The deceased victim, clad in a navy blue shirt and black shorts, has a height of 5 feet and three inches.

Police also said the man was believed to be a member of a street gang called “Bahala na Gang.”

The Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Station is now conducting further investigation in the incident.
