MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Saturday disowned a circulating infographic that details a supposed schedule for moving around the community during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine now being enforced by the government.
In a Viber message to INQUIRER.net, DILG Spokesman and Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the said infographic was not from the government inter-agency task force now handling the COVID-19 crisis.
“No it’s not. That’s not from IATF (Inter-Agency task Force),” Malaya said.
Malaya said the DILG also alerted local government units to not go beyond what the IATF has mentioned in their guidelines.
The Inter-Agency Task Force also did not impose an age limit for those who will go out of their homes.
The Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine was enforced by the government to limit the movement of people and help contain the spread of the coronavirus disease.
