Calapan officials go house-to-house to deliver relief goods amid quarantine

CITY OF CALAPAN – The city government of Calapan has started its initial “food relief assistance” on Saturday with 13,000 families.

Mayor Arnan Panaligan, in a post on social media, said they have come up with a system to deliver the relief goods to their constituents that will allow them to avoid gathering huge crowds of people in accordance with the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) imposed over Luzon against the spread of novel coronavirus.

Panaligan said the city employees were divided into teams to go house-to-house to deliver relief goods.

He assured that those in need, especially the daily wage earners, will be extended assistance.

He reiterated for public cooperation on the ECQ and for prayers to stop the threat of coronavirus disease in the country and the world.
