MANILA, Philippines — It is going to be a hot and humid Saturday for most parts of the country because of the Easterlies, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the easterlies will be affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Easterlies pa rin po ang prevailing weather system natin kaya makakaranas ng mainit, maalinsangang panahon dito po sa Metro Manila at buong bansa,” weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said in the weather update.
(Easterlies is the prevailing weather system, that’s why we will experience hot and humid weather conditions in Metro Manila and the whole country.)
The easterlies, Bulquerin added, may bring isolated rains in these areas later in the day.
No weather disturbance is also expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next three to five days, the weather specialist added.
On Friday, Pagasa announced that the dry season has begun due to the end of the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
