Philippine National Police chief Gen. Archie Gamboa on Thursday reshuffled ranking police officials to fill up posts vacated by recently retired officials.
Police Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, the PNP spokesperson, said the movement also ensures that police offices would continue to function, particularly those of PNP comptroller Police Maj. Gen. Jose Ma. Victor Ramos and intelligence chief Police Maj. Gen. Mariel Magaway, both of whom are still recovering from injuries sustained in the March 5 helicopter crash.
Gamboa and Banac were also wounded in the crash. Police Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos was designated acting PNP comptroller while Police Brig. Gen. Ferdinand Divina is now acting director for intelligence. —Jeannette I. Andrade
