Bohol extends community quarantine until April 12
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol –– Governor Arthur Yap on Thursday extended the five-day community quarantine in the province as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country refused to die down.
In his Executive Order No. 14, Yap said the community quarantine, which was supposed to end tomorrow, March 20, would continue until April 12.
The decision was made after Yap met with the business community, civil society groups, and the One Bohol COVID-19 medical and technical team.
Yap said there was still a lack of community awareness about self-quarantine, while violation of social distancing in public areas was still prevalent.
He said the barangay and municipal isolation units were also not ready, and that several supplies, like the personal protection equipment, were still being procured.
Test kits for COVID-19, he added, were also limited.
