Masbate reports 20 PUIs, over 8,000 under monitoring
LEGAZPI CITY –– Health authorities in Masbate province on Wednesday recorded 20 persons under investigation (PUIs) and more than 8,000 persons under monitoring (PUMs) for coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).
In a public advisory issued at 8:30 a.m., the Department of Health (DOH) in Masbate recorded a spike in PUIs and PUMs.
Of the 20 municipalities and one city in the province, Palanas town recorded the most number of PUIs with 11; Esperanza town, 5; Cataingan, 2; and one each in Pio V. Corpuz, and San Pascual towns.
The DOH said all PUIs showed mild symptoms.
On Wednesday, 684 were added to Tuesday’s list of PUMs with 7,673./lzb
