/ 03:18 AM March 18, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has suspended all passport services in Luzon indefinitely after Malacañang placed the entire Luzon under virtual lockdown until April 12 to contain the new coronavirus disease.

The DFA said its consular offices in Luzon “will temporarily suspend their operations (beginning) 17 March 2020 until further notice.”

Authentication of documents and civil registration services were also suspended. Passport applicants with confirmed appointments will be accommodated once operations resume, the DFA said.
