Sorsogon imposes curfew over COVID-19 concerns

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — The government of Sorsogon province has imposed a strict curfew to prevent the spread of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

On Monday, the local council has passed Curfew Ordinance for COVID-19, which prohibits people of all ages from going out in public places 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and encourages social distancing.

Violators will be asked to go home. If they refuse, they will be arrested and charged, except for minors who will be escorted to their homes.
