Pangasinan declares quarantine, too, restricts entry of outsiders
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The entire province of Pangasinan has been placed on community quarantine from March 16 to April 12 out of fear of COVID-19.
Gov. Amado Espino III issued Executive Order No. 13—2020, which requires people to stay indoors, permitting them to move around only for work or when they need to purchase basic necessities.
Espino also closed all recreational facilities in the province during the quarantine period.
People may enter Pangasinan after they had been examined by health workers at checkpoints to ensure they are not carrying the disease.
Travellers with symptoms would be brought to the nearest hospital or quarantine facility.
Those able to enter must report their presence to village health emergency response teams and must go on a 14-day quarantine.
