BEIJING — Mountain peach trees along the West Dyke in the Summer Palace have started to bloom, attracting many visitors who do not want to miss the opportunity to appreciate the refreshing early spring scenery as China passes the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Preventative measures have been adopted to control the flow of visitors since Saturday.

The optimum viewing period of the peach flowers will last about one month from now and the resort operator reminds people to avoid the peak visiting hours and days.
