City of Manila: 2 more residents test positive for COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Two new confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases have been reported and recorded in the City of Manila, bringing the total count for the city to three.
In a live public address on Facebook Sunday, Mayor Isko Moreno reported that the city has two new confirmed cases involving Manila residents.

According to Moreno, one of the three patients, a 23-year-old female is currently confined at Santa Ana Hospital.
She is a co-worker of the Department of Health’s Patient 21 in a salon in Greenhills, San Juan, the mayor added.
The other new patient is a 64-year-old female, and a resident of Santa Cruz and is Patient 75 in DOH’s list. The city’s third case is a resident of Sampaloc.

Article continues after this advertisementThe Manila Mayor likewise announced that there are eight persons under investigation for COVID-19 in the city.
The capital city has been placed under a state of calamity and has also imposed an 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew to prevent the spread of the respiratory disease.

All in all, the Philippines has so far reported 140 COVID-19 cases, and 12 deaths.
The World Health Organization declared the disease a global pandemic.
