PALAYAN CITY – Nueva Ecija classes in all levels would be suspended from March 16 to April 14 as a precautionary measure against the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to a Saturday directive issued by Gov. Aurelio Umali.

Executive Order No. 006-2020 also temporarily bans mass gatherings and crowd-drawing events “to minimize exposure and risks of further transmission of the disease.”

“It is necessary and appropriate to take action to control the spread of COVID-19 and to keep safe and secure the residents and visitors of the province of Nueva Ecija amid the public health threat,” the governor states in the order.
