Number of coronavirus cases in PH jumps to 111
MANILA, Philippines — There had been an additional 13 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recorded in the country, bringing the total to 111, the Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
In a statement, the DOH said that the information on the new cases is currently being validated.
Such information, the DOH added, will be released to the public as soon as it is available.
This comes hours after DOH Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire announced that the Philippines has 98 cases of COVID-19.
Aside from this, the country also has eight fatalities due to the disease.
The COVID-19 is a disease that first broke out in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province, China.
