Finance chief Dominguez to go into self-quarantine
MANILA, Philippines — Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez will be on self-quarantine after having interacted with a coronavirus disease (COVID-19) positive patient.
“I was at 2 official meetings last week with a person who today tested positive for COVID-19,” Dominguez told INQUIRER.net in a text message.
Dominguez did not elaborate on where he encountered the patient.
Asked if he’s experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms, the Finance chief said: “None at all.”
Earlier, Senator Win Gatchalian announced that he will put himself under quarantine after interacting with a COVID-19 positive person who served as a resource person in a recent Senate committee hearing.
Those under self-quarantine are asked to sustain this for at least 14 days.
Philippine health officials have so far reported a total of 49 coronavirus infection in the country.
