3 drug pushers fall in Quezon stings
LUCENA CITY –– Three suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers, one of them a former drug convict, were arrested in separate operations in Quezon province on Tuesday.
Robert Ocado was collared by policemen after he was accosted in a checkpoint aboard a motorcycle in Barangay Lakawan in Tayabas City around 9:45 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report.
But the unidentified motorcycle driver was able to escape and left Ocado.
When frisked, Ocado, who was the back-rider, yielded two plastic sachets of shabu worth P9,500 in the street market.
In Atimonan town, anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Mark Cadeliña in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro at 6:50 p.m.
The suspect was found carrying three sachets of shabu worth P2,000.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, Ariel Grande was busted with two sachets of shabu worth P5,440 in Barangay Pahinga Norte, Candelaria in the morning.
Police tagged Grande as a former detainee on drug pushing charges but was released following a plea-bargaining agreement with the court.
