Navy chief, Sara Duterte, 2 envoys get CA’s OK
MANILA Philippines — Before Congress takes a break this week, the Commission on Appointments confirmed the ad interim appointments and nominations of 22 senior military officers, and 12 officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Among those confirmed by the Commission on Wednesday were Navy chief Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo, presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and Davao Rep. Isidro Ungab, both as colonel of the Army’s reserve force.
The panel also confirmed the nominations Millicent Cruz-Paredes, ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and Rodolfo Dia Robles, ambassador to Canada.
