MANILA Philippines – The ad interim appointments and nominations of 22 senior officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, including Navy chief Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo and presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, have been approved by a panel of the Commission on Appointments (CA).
Aside from Bacordo and Duterte-Carpio, who was appointed Colonel in the AFP’s Reserve Force, the CA’s committee on national defense also recommended the confirmation of 20 other military officers:

10. Greg Almerol to the rank of Major General
11. Rommel Hinlo to the rank of Brigadier General
12. Alfonspin Tumanda Jr. to the rank of Commodore

14. Ariel Caculitan to the rank of Major General
